All organic health food stores carry flaxseed-it is really easy to find. Oat groats are also available in some organic health food stores.

Amy if you follow the recipe these cookies taste amazing and not at all "raw" as in uncooked, since they are gently dehydrated and have a cookie texture. I have been making them for many people and everyone seems to love them! The traditional baked version of this cookie is a syrup soaked cookie so it's moist anyway. I don't know though if a simple syrup would work the same way!

Well! I was just stopping by to take a peek, but right away this recipe hooked me in. On the one hand, I'm worried that raw cookies will taste, well, raw. On the other hand, your photos are so frakking alluring, and the recipe itself sounds really balanced, like it could actually work.

Hmm, how sweet is agave syrup? I'm not too familiar with alternative sugars. Do you think a heavy simple syrup made from granulated sugar might sub in? Of course, I could just stop being lazy and google it.
